Booksellers

Dear US Booksellers

Thank you for all the very kind support you have given to my books, and for the generous hospitality you have shown me on my recent tours.

The good people at Simon & Schuster have put together an excellent webpage/landing page customized for booksellers – so you can request flyers, bookmarks, bookplates, and so forth. So far as I know this is the first time this has been tried, so please let them or me know if it’s useful and what else you’d like to see there.

There is also a dedicated address for booksellers to request promotional materials: littlebee@simonandschuster.com.

As a writer I live or die by whether booksellers and librarians like my books and let their customers know about them. I sincerely appreciate all the help you give me and if there is anything I can do to help, I will, so please let me know.

    Chris et al,
Finished “Little Bee” this morning instead of taking ashower or going for my walk or doing my taxes. Am blown away by the book. It is already selling briskly at the bookshop where I work, but now that I’ve read it I know I can sell even more copies. Kudos on the cover by the way, many customers bought the book partly because of the graphically lovely cover art, and partly because of the terrific quotes from reviewers on the back, including the ppublishers quote about not being able to tell the reader much about the book in case it would ruin thier experience. Bravo on you and your book (sic)!

Accidentally took “Little Bee” home from the library where I work. Read it in 2 days. I am overwhelmed by it’s power. Loved it as much as I loved “The book thief” by Markus Zusak. I will promote this important book. Wow.

I just finished Little Bee. I could relate to the voices of Little Bee and Sarah as they shared their from their worlds that crisscrossed from the event that brought them together (with Adnrew and Kindness) on the beach to the present where they try to make sense and make right, the events.

I cried at the inhumanity of both the soldiers and the bureacracy. It brought up anger our so called first world society to reject the opportunities to love and be loved with others who come for help at our doorsteps.

    thanks Chris.
Please come to Canada to read ; maybe as a part of the Canadian Broadcast Corportation’s (CBC) Canada Reads series.

You are always welcome to come to Victoria.. with family and Batman
