Hi Chris, after reading The Other Hand which I found it to be deeply “provocative” and “disturbing”, I am not sure I can stomach Little Bee…after reading the synopsis at the back of the book. Can you give me the courage to embark on this book?

Hi Jimmy – the good news is that you are excused from reading Little Bee, as it differs from The Other Hand only in the title (which is the US and Canadian one). The bad news is that this means you have extra time to read my other novels, which I’m told can also occasionally stray into disquieting territory. If you do read them I hope you will find some cheerful themes too – I’m sure they are in there somewhere! And thank you for reading Little Bee & for your interest in my books.
